Great Read

Mike really puts the Seal mentality into the book while keeping it light enough for the general reader to understand. Mike’s humor and training approach allows this book to be relevant regardless of where you are with your dog!

Another Fav!

I spent my weekend with this book and I thoroughly enjoyed it,

Personally, I walked away with the understanding that this book highlights the importance of in order to be successful with your dog or anything in life (in my opinion), you have to understand the hidden, what’s underneath the surface that is driving the behavior, otherwise you can have all the step by step to dos, as soon as a scenario changes, you will be back to square one. And that hidden is the similarly between what it takes to live a balanced and healthy life between human and a dog.

I am super thankful that I was able to train with Mike when I first adopted Max, I recall during one of our first session, Mike asked me to describe Max’s day but through his eyes, at the time, admittedly I never gave that question much thought, I thought it was a quick background day in the life understanding, but now I see the weight of that question. A day in the life through Max’s eyes reveals who I am, where does Max sit on my priority list, what is my temperament like, how in tune am I to Max, how am I as a leader, am I actually leading or do I think I am leading…In order to devise the right fix it plan for Max's issues, Mike had to understand me.

With this book I had a lot of light bulb moments as well as a new found hunger for pursuance of understanding of dogs
Also I enjoyed the pictures! I sound like a caveman (give me pictures!) But um Toby’s crate? Excuse me????
